MCN Foundation is committed to improving access to healthcare information and education, globally, through MCN Learning. This month we are providing resources that address Zika.
As warm weather vacations are planned by travelers in the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere enters into the summer months the concerns about the Zika virus are increasing. MCN Foundation would like to provide resources to healthcare providers and the general public about the latest information on Zika.
Zika App – The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a Zika App that provides data and real-time information for healthcare providers including responders in multiple languages. The App is available for both Android and iOS devices.
WHO – Zika Virus and Complications: Questions and Answers – provides answers to questions about the Zika virus, complications, transmission, pregnancy and travel.
Travelers’ Health – the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides Vaccines. Medicines. Advice. for healthcare providers and travelers. Text PLAN to 855-255-5606 for Zika updates.
