Today is World Sepsis Day

World Sepsis Day is held on September 13th every year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against sepsis.

World Sepsis Day was created by Global Sepsis Alliance, a non-profit organization supporting the efforts of over 1 million caregivers in more than 70 countries to better understand and combat what many experts believe to be the leading cause of death worldwide: sepsis.

Sepsis is not only a medical emergency, but also a global health crisis, affecting up to 30 million people a year.
